Park Slope Family Chiropractic and Nutrition is a family-oriented practice which means every person in your family, regardless of age, is a candidate for care.  Our office is a unique health care facility, a warm inviting atmosphere for both children and adults.  Our kid-friendly environment includes a play area that provides children with activity and comfort while they observe and become curious about their parent's chiropractic care.  For those children who enter our practice before their parents, the children lead the way to introducing the adults to our philosophy and techniques.  We teach that health is the norm and the body can heal itself if properly cared for.

My desire to become a chiropractor was inspired by a drugless form of healthcare that relied on the innate ability of the body to heal itself.  My older brother was an inspiration as he was a chiropractor and I was exposed to the healing that took place in his office.  In December of 1997 I graduated from Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA.  Life University was built upon the same philosophy as the first chiropractic school established in 1897, Palmer School of Chiropractic, where the focus on healing was to let an organism express its life force 100% by removing interference from the main control center of the    body -- the nervous system.

As fate would have it,  my NY license came through first and I started practicing as a substitute chiropractor in offices where needed in NYC.  This lead me to Park slope which as a "Jersey girl" I had not even heard of.  The rest is history -- 20 years ago I bought the practice from the chiropractor I had been helping out and became a "Brooklynite".

My dream was to create a  family-oriented practice where I could educate families to take care of their health in a preventative way.  I saw chiropractic care as a means to long-term health and wellness and not  just a tool for acute care.  As my practice developed, I got advanced training in Pediatric and Prenatal care wherein I learned additional protocols and techniques such as Webster to help with breech birth.  I became dedicated to educating the Park Slope community to the benefits of strengthening the nervous and immune systems through chiropractic care in order to sustain health and well-being.

This is in fact when sets me apart from most chiropractors. Although I treat acute care patients, my passion is in wellness care.  Education is a big part of my practice as knowledge is power and many people have misconceptions about chiropractic care and its benefits.

Our mission is to educate our patients about Chiropractic care for prevention as well as a natural solution to common health problems. We believe that our practice members gain a sense of control over their own health with regular chiropractic care.

Chiropractic is an approach to wellness that motivates you to participate and take a more active and responsible role in your health". - DR. A

You changed my life. Now I can stand up straight at my son's wedding. - Debra

  • I'm truly grateful that I I decided to explore Chiropractic Care during my Pregnancy, it has benefited us in the most wonderful and unexpected of ways. I haven't felt this well in years, my baby girl is no longer breech and I am confident I will have a more comfortable delivery.

  • “We began bringing our son to see Dr. A when he was two weeks old. He had a very traumatic delivery that left his range of motion limited and spine out of alignment. He could only turn his head to the right and his hips always swung the opposite way he looked. He’s been going weekly for maintenance and now at 6 months his alignment is straight. We look forward to every visit and the flexibility of their office hours makes life with an infant manageable. Thanks Dr A, Jodi, and Carol.” - Chelsea Petrucci Mother to Leonardo (6 mo)

  • Dr. A helped "fix" me after a massive issue with my neck and upper back seizing up until I was immobilized. Working with her after that incident was incredibly helpful. Jodi and Carol at the office are just wonderful and I truly can't say enough good things about the practice.
